Aidoc Unveils Trio of Quantification AI Algorithms for UK Healthcare Market  

Aidoc, a global leader in clinical AI solutions, today announced the release of three new quantification algorithms for the UK market. These algorithms will aid radiologists in identifying patients with increased risk of serious cardiovascular and neurological conditions, ensuring rapid and precise intervention.

The UKCA-mark of these solutions, (which have also secured FDA-clearance), represents a significant milestone for Aidoc’s award-winning aiOS™ platform. With its new quantification functionality, Aidoc further solidifies its position as the most robust and comprehensive AI platform for medical imaging, complementing its existing suite of solutions for the notification and triage of acute pathologies, care coordination across service lines, and patient follow-up.

The three new quantification solutions are:

  • Abdominal Aortic Measurement: Assists radiologists by measuring the abdominal aorta crucial for indicating whether a patient has an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) that may require treatment before a rupture occurs. AAAs are known for their high mortality rate, but can be treated if uncovered soon enough.
  • Coronary Artery Calcification: Opportunistically runs on non-cardiac, non-contrast CTs to provide radiologists with a measurement of the levels of calcified plaques within coronary arteries, enabling the patient to seek cardiac therapy before a heart attack occurs.
  • Midline Shift: Helps radiologists by measuring the extent of brain midline shift, which is important for evaluating traumatic brain injuries and intracranial pressure, aiding prompt treatment decisions, and determining whether patients need surgery or monitoring.

With this latest release, Aidoc’s aiOS™ platform now offers a total of 26 AI solutions approved for the UK market. Of these, 17 are developed by Aidoc themselves, with the rest a result of strategic partnerships with other leading developers, providing a suite of robust clinical AI solutions, all deployed via the Aidoc aiOS™ with a unified and seamless user experience.
